White Horse Theatre: two plays at the MGM
| Romeo and Juliet - balcony scene
|
| Silver Jane
| As every year in December, the White Horse Theatre company came to Michaeli-Gymnasium to present two plays.
“Silver Jane” for our year-6 classes
Silver Jane comes to an old couple on earth, although her real parents live on another planet. She is a girl with silver hair who discovers her superpowers: she can fly and prevent things like bank robberies. So Silver Jane can be called a superhero.
That is why she must stop a terrible bully on another planet and flies there to fight the bad guy by using her superpowers!
In the end, she wins the battle and comes to terms with the enemy. Thus she saves the universe.
The play was well explained and we had the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.
We all enjoyed it.

Romeo and Juliet for our Q12 courses:
Besides Adam and Eve, Romeo and Juliette are probably the world’s most iconic pair of lovers. Fortunately, Shakespeare’s drama have found its way to our school this year.
The acting group, consisting of only four multitalented individuals, manages to amaze its audience with Shakespeare’s complex play. In a truly overwhelming manner the actors not only impress their viewers with excellent acting abilities but also by creating an “active” stage. They easily manage to change the play’s setting by simply removing, rearranging or adding basic props on the stage. This gives their performance its unique character and reinforces the “small theatre”-charm.
In addition, the young actors (who were in their 20s) were available for questions after the performance. So we could grasp the skill and dedication it takes for a young individual to be an actor. Behind their warm, friendly smiles lie great, complex and artistic minds.
